What is an infrared camera? Temperature measurement and night vision are the basic functions. If you want to know more about the infrared camera, please click here!
Infrared thermal imaging technology is a passive, non-contact detection and recognition technology, which can use the infrared radiation characteristic image formed by the temperature difference or radiation difference between the target and the background or various parts of the target to discover and identify the target. It has two basics functions that are temperature measurement and night vision.

Temperature measurement can realize non-contact remote temperature detection and fault detection. The advantages are simple and intuitive, safe, accurate, efficient, time-saving and all-weather work. Night vision means it can easily detect and identify targets in the absence of light. It can work around the clock, without fear of bad weather, and has a long operating distance and super secrecy

The earliest application of infrared thermal imaging cameras originated in the military field, and was later widely used in power inspections, electrical equipment maintenance, industrial automation, inspection and quarantine, security monitoring, forest fire prevention, fire rescue, police law enforcement, outdoor sports, etc. Traditional fields, as well as many emerging fields such as autonomous driving, smart home, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and consumer electronics.

In layman's terms, a thermal imaging camera is to convert the invisible infrared energy emitted by an object into a visible thermal image. The different colors on the top of the thermal image represent different temperatures of the measured object. By viewing the thermal image, you can observe the overall temperature distribution of the measured target, study the heating of the target, and provide a basis for work and research. Our commonly used thermal imaging cameras are passive thermal imaging tests and are very safe. According to the atmospheric window, infrared is divided into near infrared, short wave infrared, medium wave infrared, and long wave infrared. Long-wave infrared can be observed through the air, but not through walls and glass, and has the advantages of all-weather imaging, non-contact temperature measurement, and smoke penetration observation.
